Installed SP2 at work and at home. I've noted some slowing during boot up but otherwise it was painless. excessor had issues however.

Thanks to XPSP2, my brand new HP Überlaptop now takes forever to boot up. Why does MS insist on "fixing" things that aren't broken?! I wish I hadn't proceeded with the install...

Mine works fine. Hmmm

mine works fine
if you already use a firewall (like norton, zonealarm, etc.) you may want to disable the msft firewall AFTER the install (it turns on its own firewall during the SP2 installation).

as far as i've seen the applications that have been confounded by SP2 have been stuff that the average home user won't care about (stuff like citrix, etc.).

Good luck with it. I put it on my home machine and it just screwed with AOL to death. I have my dsl thru AOL (no comments please, Ive heard them all :) ) and it was logging AOL off without my desires. Ugh. I uninstalled it. And have been running fine ever since.

the only thing i've noticed is it takes a little longer to boot up. The only thing that was annoying as hell afterward was every program i'd log into that accessed the internet. I had to unblock every one. And I had to turn the pop up blocker off on windows. I couldn't get into certain sites with the pop up blocker on
