Les fleurs du printemps

Busy weekend. Our friend Bela from British Columbia arrived Thursday. He's a professional chef, and prepared a wonderful Hungarian dinner Friday evening, which we shared with Vic and Dave. Saturday we shopped, had brunch at Gunters, napped, went to chriskomater's lovely garden party (chronicled here by rootbeer1), and in the evening to dinner at El Mansour to celebrate bentwright's birthday. Then the Lone Star. I was exhausted.

Today, went to see Eternal Sunshine with Bela, John (keanubear) and Greg, and tonight having them over for lasagna and The Sopranos. But I still found time to snap a few pics of our lovely spring flowers...

Awesome fleurs! How did you like the film? We saw it last night and I loved it. That screenwriter is one crazed soul! Everything he writes just knocks me off my feet!

We loved it too--very original, and kept me on my toes. I really want to see it again. And I'm sure the commentary on the DVD will be fascinating.

Wow. They are so pretty! Whereas here, the last 15" snowstorm we got is just starting to melt, once agian revealing the sludge and brown underneath.

This flower is particularly fragrant. I would like to smell him it again!

Holy Wisteria Summer, Batman!
It looks like a Faulkner metaphor gone wild at your place!

Cute gardener, too. I like his can.
