Shocking!!

Yesterday when I got home from work, there was a package waiting for me. It was my new electronic scale, ordered because our old scale couldn't handle my fatness. I got on it and was shocked, shocked!! I knew I'd gained a little, but actually the number flashing at me in liquid-crystal clarity was horrifying. I went upstairs, sat on the bed and stared into space, really and truly in shock.

Luckily, when I returned home today, there was another package for me--my first NutriSystem® shipment. Didn't think I'd do it, didja? Well, my last doctor visit was fine, but he encouraged me to give it a try, like I said he would. Actually, the idea came from fuzzygruf, who's done really well on the program. Thanks, Gary! Good job!!

Like children on Christmas morning, Steve (rootbeer1) and I excitedly opened the box and pulled out doll-sized packages of breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snack delicacies. There really is a lot of stuff for a one-month supply, and you supplement the entrees with salad, vegs, whole-grain bread and the like, so I don't think I'll starve. Just get healthier. Wish me luck!

* LUCK *

I'm cutting back - my blood pressure is creeping up so I need to lose 5 or 50 pounds. I've started by eating a little less at each meal and drinking diet, rather than sugared cola.

Again, good luck - you can do it.

Nutrisystem? Great! Good job, Jack!

It's fun to go through the food and figure out what to try. Some of it is pure crap! But there are gems. I look forward to swapping menu stories with you!

(I'm down 30+ pounds in 3 months. The trick is that it's something I can work with. If I eat go off of it for one meal, I'm back on it the next.)

Good luck!

It mostly teaches about portion control and making sure you eat veggies and some dairy during the day. The portion control is the biggest problem for me, but it's slowly improving.

It really works. I tried Jenny Craig many, many, many years ago, and I lost significant amounts of weight. The thing was, once I got off their food, the pounds came back, and then some. Good luck with it!
