And it's a couch, not a davenport

There's a flaw in this meme, so it's now behind a cut. But I fixed mine, thanks to fuzzygruf's expert advice. If you run the thing yourself, be sure to delete the <tr> tag immediately before the </table> tag at the end of the generated HTML.

This meme is not S2-friendly. Damned LJ.

I don't think it's this particular meme, I think this happens when people cut'n'paste and don't get quite all of it. I've seen this a lot, from different things, and always something that you have to clip to put in your lj.

I wish I understood enough of HTML to figure out what's really going on. Too bad I'm SO F***ING BUSY to research it... ;)

I'm thinking it's html crap specific to S2, because I look at the "friends view" for ricksf, and this entry shows up okay without distorting the page. Someone else on my list did the meme and it screwed up the view as well, so I don't think it's an isolated cut-and-paste problem (although I've seen those screw things up, too).

I found it. Like most memes, this one is written poorly. It generates an extra TR tag before the last /table tag.

Hi qbear. Your entry is mucking up my friends list. It's having some html crisis or something, so I have to temporarily delete you from my friends until it's fixed.

10% Dixie?! Horrors! I know some of my ancestors are spinning in their graves about now...

I should write to the meme's author and object about #s 5 and 6. Sweetened, carbonated beverages are called tonic where I come from, and a drinking fountain is known as a bubbler.

hmmm
My Yankee outranked my upper Midwest. Guess 20 years in Boston will do that to a person. How the hell are you Jack?
